To help promote a new British film at the festival a Sabre client decided on a promotional CD.

Our client was desperate to have this new CD prepared and duplicated with an incredibly short deadline to coincide with their crucially important Cannes Film Festival preview.

As an established Sabre client they came to us with the job and told us their "absolute final deadline time".

Sabre quickly reviewed what was required for a first class job, and we had to tell our client that while we would do our utmost, we were not able to give them a cast-iron guarantee that the deadline could be met. (This, despite our top industry rating for fast turnaround).

The client went elsewhere and shopped around until they found a duplicator who would guarantee to hit the deadline. Frankly, we were surprised.

Regrettably guaranteeing the deadline was all our competitors did. They did not meet it, and in fact caused considerable mayhem in the supposed attempt.

With no time left before their flights to Cannes, our clients came back to us to see if we could save the day.

Through the dedication of key Sabre staff, we got the job done to the high standards we had set, and we air-shipped the CDs directly to the festival.

They arrived with just three hours to spare, and they helped the producers to secure a Japanese film distribution deal.
